Job Description

Duties

  • May provide work direction to other dining room staff as necessary.
  • Set tables, arrange place settings/table decorations, receive guests, make dining suggestions, answer questions about food/wines/etc, take orders, place orders with the kitchen, and receive food/beverage orders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Collects cash or payment by credit card and maintains sales record.
  • Clears and cleans tables and other customer service areas.

Conditions of Employment

  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment for selling and serving alcoholic beverages (18 years of age).
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours annual refresher training.

Qualifications

  • Must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment; The State of Washington requirement is 18 years or older.
  • Possess basic math skills necessary to compute patron bills and make change.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Previous work experience performing the duties listed above.
