This position will assist with technical guidance, and strategic direction for all aspects of Vulnerability Management. The team is responsible for identifying and prioritizing gaps within our security posture with the goal of reducing risk to the organization.

  • Assist with enhancing and executing processes related to vulnerability management
  • Collaborate across cyber teams to reduce the level of effort, cost, and risks across threat landscapes
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Work closely with business and technology personnel to ensure actions are being taken to mitigate identified risks proactively
  • Provide recommendations and technical guidance for the lifecycle of vulnerability management
  • Perform technical risk and vulnerability assessments of relevant technology focus areas (i.e., local computing environment, network, and infrastructure, and supporting infrastructure)
  • Develop reports using data that is hosted in multiple sources/tools and communicate risk clearly to leadership and other cyber teams
  • Design automation, orchestration, and scripting to reduce manual processes, improving overall efficiency while also enabling new capabilities to meet our rapidly changing needs
  • Serve as a point of escalation for remediation activities
  • Work with large complex data sets to support rapid security responses and provide situational awareness
  • Develop strategies to identify, manage, and mitigate identified threats and vulnerabilities to attain desired risk profile and communicate strategies to key stakeholders
  • Assess the current program, plan, and operationalize high-level and detailed Threat & Vulnerability management program. Translating business needs, architecture, operational structure, and compliance and/or regulatory requirements tailored to firm needs
  • Conduct in-depth research projects for various threat topics

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $92,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Information Security experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience with Vulnerability Management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced level, in depth information security theory
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skill and excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Sound judgment skills and ability to know when to escalate cyber threats and vulnerabilities
  • Works well both in a team environment and independently
  • Self-motivated to improve knowledge and skills


In depth experience with at least four of the following

  • Data Analytics
  • Network Devices and Routing
  • Cloud Services
  • Vulnerability Management
  • Windows / Linux System Administration
  • Software Development
  • In depth understanding of vulnerabilities, hacking techniques, and hacking tools
  • In depth knowledge in networking, phishing, and endpoint security

Skills

Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.

Confidentiality: Knowledge of practices and policies governing disclosure of information about the organization, its business activities, and employees; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Information Security Management: Knowledge of the processes, tools and techniques of information security management; ability to deploy and monitor information security systems, while detecting, controlling and preventing violations of IT security.
