Our client is a renowned nationwide telecom integrator. Their highly rated scalable network solutions meet the huge demand for top-quality wireless coverage in major public spaces. They are hiring a VP of Construction to oversee the strategic planning, coordination, construction management, and overall execution of project delivery of all projects in their region



This role will oversee a staff of Project Managers, Superintendents, and construction support teams who are assigned to a variety of concurrent projects at different stages.

Focus:

  • Manage and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.
  • Develop and implement construction strategies to meet the company's development pipeline.
  • Manage the construction process, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of construction activities.
  • Ensure the compliance of construction activities with company's safety requirements, policies and obligations.
  • Oversee the commissioning and testing of renewable energy projects.
  • Provide regular reports on construction progress, costs, and savings to the management team.
  • Ensure that the construction of the projects meets industry standards and regulations, as well as long-term operational goals.
  • Oversee the pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases of the Company’s renewable energy portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key contractors, subcontractors, and partners in the renewable energy industry.
  • Coordinate the transition of projects from construction to the asset management team at the commencement of commercial operations.



Skill Set:

  • Knowledge in budgeting, scheduling, and project management software.
  • At least 10 years in Telecom Construction or a related field.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of Fiber to the Home technologies, construction, and pricing.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, including engineering or construction management.
  • Experience in handling safety regulations and procedures for construction sites
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage team members in-house and contract site managers in the field.
