Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to advance PSEG's visual communications to internal and external audiences. The person in this role needs to inspire the team to take PSEG’s creative output to the next level, pushing the envelope in terms of media, creativity and execution. They also have to develop the creative team into a team of creative and trusted advisors as well as doers. The ideal outcome is to have a creative strategy in place that is in line with PSEG's business goals and internal as well as external communication plans.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze technology and market trends, consumer needs, and the competitor landscape
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative team, maintaining strategic thinking to develop innovative and actionable initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring that deliverables address overall company goals and strategies effectively
  • Own the creative calendar and prioritize work and resources across engagements, based on short- and long-term needs
  • Supervise a cross-functional team of graphic designers and videographers/photographers in the strategic development of ideas and deliverables
  • Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for internal and external audiences
  • Collaborate with the marketing and corporate communications in developing plans, analyzing results, and identifying opportunities

Job Specific Qualifications

  • BS/BA with 10 years experience. Relevant work experience should include leadership of a creative team, as well as creative advisory to senior management; 12 years experience in lieu of degree

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience in creating marketing/advertising campaigns — from developing the vision and messaging platform to overseeing production on time and within budget. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline, and print
  • Strong creative vision, with an eye on business objectives
  • Experienced in working with and advising C-suite level executives
  • Computer proficiency working with MS Office suite, MS Publisher, Adobe creative suite, and database and analytics programs
  • Proficiency in leading a team of diverse, talented creatives
  • Proven ability to develop successful concepts

Desired:

  • Experience in project management, with a focus on creative direction
  • Bachelor's degree. Experience as a copywriter, graphic designer, or production artist
