Videographer + Video Editor Jobs

Sparkloft is a social-first creative agency and we are looking for Videographer, Photographer, Editor to join our highly collaborative Creative Team in our Portland office! Primary

The Videographer + Video Editor will concept, design and guide the experience that connects users with content. She/he will create projects from concept to completion, ensuring creative continuity and excellence for all clients.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure the agency and clients are legally compliant when it comes to usage rights, talent / location releases for photography, video and music
• Audio sweetening, editing, recording and editing to effectively balance sound, dialogue and music in videos in order to create the desired emotional and storytelling effect
• Display original thinking and creativity, and meet challenges with resourcefulness and innovation
• Design mood boards; storyboards; interactive page layouts; photo retouching and enhancements; animated GIFs etc.
• High level understanding of current photo and video trends and skills
• Lead all aspects of photo and video production from pre-production, production and post-production, including engaging storytelling and scriptwriting, artistic lighting, audio recording, non-linear video editing, motion graphic design, and visual storytelling
• Produce high quality photo and video content for social media
• Travel for shoots on location, including international travel and travel on short notice
• Utilize proven storyboarding, editing, storytelling and filming experience
• Collaborate with other members of the creative team to develop campaigns, and ensure that creative and brand strategies for all clients is carried out
• Responsible for compiling, editing and refining recorded raw material into a finished product

Experience And Other Skill Requirements

• A high level of self-motivation, commitment and dedication
• Bachelor’s Degree in visual communications or a related field or commensurate years of experience
• Be creative not only at budgets, scoping and storytelling but also at solving problems
• A strong portfolio
• Effective, clear and concise presentation skills along with exceptional written and verbal communication prowess with the ability to communicate at all levels.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience shooting on location in various environments including other countries a plus
• The ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team
• Organizational and time management skills
• Experience with consumer brands, preferably at a digital agency preferred
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator
• 2+ years work experience preferred
• Advanced skills in DSLR and mirrorless camera system operation for both photo and video
• Commercial drone operational experience a plus
