Summary: The senior graphic designer is responsible for concepting, production and execution of graphic design and communication pieces across multiple platforms (presentations, print collateral, video) to drive associate engagement understanding of the business. Must be able to lead multiple projects within a dynamic environment that are on spec, on time and on brand and help us “level up” how we engage and connect with associates.
Responsibilities
- Consistently meet project deadlines and maintain high level of work while leading multiple projects across several platforms
- Ensure designs are in alignment with evolving brand standards and maintain brand consistency
- Collaborate with communications partners/project managers, other business partners and fellow in-house designers and internal/external partners to ensure effective project completion
- Keep up with currents trends in marketing, design and applicable design technology
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong understanding of design principles including composition, color and hierarchy of messaging, emphasizing the use of typography and photography in layout
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment with shifting priorities
- 5-7 years of experience at an in-house creative department or design agency
- Strong creative, organizational, problem solving and time-management skills
- Adaptable and quick learner that seeks feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Demonstrates sophisticated aesthetic, technical skill and knowledge of current design trends
- Can-do attitude and ability to respond optimally and appropriately to creative feedback
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), as well as designing for execution within Microsoft platforms, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Possess strong conceptual skills, high level sense of design, a broad problem solver who is able to offer a variety of design solutions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team as well as work individually
- Expert knowledge in graphic, pre- and post-production processes; maintain relationships with vendors
Education
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in graphic design, visual communications, marketing or equivalent experience
