Overview


The Video Producer will work within the Marketing Department to produce, edit, distribute, and archive corporate video assets. This role will create requirements, concepts, and scripts, then set up and record internal subject matter experts or other talent. They will be responsible for production assets for internal and external training videos, promotional videos, advertising content, awards presentations, and historical purposes. This position will lead the video studio set up and stay abreast and up to date with new video, audio, editing trends, and technology.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Experience with professional lighting, sound, and set equipment.
  • A video demo reel must be submitted.
  • Degree in Video Production or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Post-production experience with nonlinear editing, motion graphics, audio auditing, and exporting files.
  • Experience with professional video camera equipment.
  • 2+ years of Digital Media/Video experience required.
  • Be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Video Production software (Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, and others) and familiarity with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Scriptwriting, storyboarding, and producing experience.
  • Knowledge of file storage, archiving techniques, and best practices.
  • Creative video capture, directing, filming, and production experience.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Contribute to the development of digital media strategy, tactics, plan, and process by applying continuous improvement methods.
  • Scripting – work with subject matter experts and the creative team to write scripts.
  • Coordinate the acquisition of hardware / software with the Brand Manager.
  • Project logistics – handle scheduling, location, cameras, lighting, sound, set needs, and additional resources as needed.
  • Maintain brand standards in production assets.
  • Work with the Marketing Department to develop, edit, and produce finished, distributable video, and web content.
  • Evaluate and report on the practical application of new technologies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to brainstorm and advance new and innovative ideas.
  • Setup – prepare studio and/or on-location shoots, including all equipment and gear.
  • Encoding – format video assets for web, social media, presentation, and other situational needs.
  • Make recommendations for production equipment, including new studio setup, and software.
  • Post-production – edit footage, including color correction, adding motion graphics, audio, and music as necessary, or use templates to create video stories, reels, etc.
  • Archive – maintain company video archive; protect the company digital media resources through strict adherence to company security and archive processes and policies.
  • Production – shoot with appropriate equipment for professional video.
  • Requirements – coordinate with Manager to obtain a clear definition and understanding of the work. requirements and goals as well as any constraints in terms of time, policy, cost, or quality.
  • Serve as technical support for other creators and users of video/digital media.
  • Concepting – formulate project concepts and develop project specifications based on cost, goals, and priorities.
