About The Job

We are seeking a Video Editor/Animator for a well-known university in the United States.

Responsibilities Include:

• Recording and editing of audio podcasts
• Reports to the Assistant Director, Post-Production. Receives and carries-out assigned editing projects and tasks from concept to completion. This includes the creation and use of graphics and motion animation and adherence to set branding and style guidelines
• Assisting with updates of video editing hardware and software
• Video Editing and Animation:
• Collaborates with a team of project managers including video producers, instructional designers, executive education program managers, and other communicators within the enterprise
• Post-production tasks including backups, archiving and file organization for media delivery on various platforms
• Responsible for performing appropriate provided training and maintaining a best-practices skillset in the use of specialized video editing software
• Assistance as crew with in-studio and on-location video production will be required on occasion
• Other tasks, as assigned, may include:

Requirements

• Candidates will be required to submit a reel with examples of their professional work, noting their role(s) in the production, and must also provide references during the interview process
• Must be detail oriented and proficient in operating a PC (Personal Computer.)
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Use of the Microsoft Windows operating system and Office suite tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams) as well as cloud storage services such as Kaltura and Hightail are necessary to perform daily tasks
• Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience required. Degree in the field of Communications or Visual Media Production strongly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in video editing and animation is required
• Demonstrated experience using the following software is strongly preferred: Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Audition, Vyond
