Video Editor Jobs

Our National eCommerce Retailer client is seeking a talented Junior Video Editor, part time (25 hours a week) to join their growing in-house video production team, located in the Fort Lauderdale area. You’ll be responsible for preparing video postproduction projects across several overlapping productions with many varying assets. You will assist in all stages of projects, including setting up project files, creating all final deliverables, and archiving masters. You must have the experience and enthusiasm necessary to jump into a team that is responsible for supporting all business units, digital channels, and broadcast video editing needs. This position is part time (25 hours a week) onsite in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 3pm-9pm EST, Mon-Fri.

Responsibilities:

• Cut down raw media content and log metadata for archive.
• Pull selects and leave detailed sequence markers as notated by on-set creative teams and trim out unusable footage once imported.
• Create deliverables and archival masters for all projects and facilitate the final handoff of assets to Post Trafficking & Media Content Services.
• Notify Video Editors when projects are ready to be handed off and flag if any issues were found.
• Keep track of project timelines and deliverables in coordination with Video Editors, Producers, and team leads.
• Complete simple revisions on projects in close coordination with the assigned Video Editor.
• Prepare projects to department standards, including syncing footage and organizing assets within Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Davinci Resolve.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with Workfront and MAM systems is a PLUS!
• Working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve and color management is a PLUS!
• 1+ years of video editing experience within an agency or postproduction house or in-house creative environment.
• Strong understanding of Video Editing as it relates to other aspects of postproduction such as Color, Audio, Graphics, Media Management, and Photo Retouching.
• Experience in everything postproduction.
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, and Photoshop.
