Video Editor Jobs

Salem Media Group’s fast growing Salem News Channel is seeking a Video Editor to facilitate enhancing our lineup with new shows. SNC features America’s leading conservative commentators.

Salem News Channel Video Editor will support our network shows by taking them from recording to air. This includes editing raw video clips and images into packages for air, post production of full show records for video on demand, and cutting clips from shows for social media and promotional content. Editors will be expected to complete edits with tight turnaround times, and meet daily deadlines on assignments. Editors will report to the Director of Network Operations and work with multiple shows to assist with their editing needs.The best candidates for this position will feel comfortable making editorial decisions if needed as well.

Position Requirements:

• Must have experience editing video in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Willing to work a flexible schedule (schedule will vary depending on the show being worked on)
• High level communication skills
• Able to accommodate tight deadlines and turnaround times
• Comfortable working in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop
• Good organizational skills
• A general knowledge of production playback systems, or aptitude to learn, is a plus. These systems include Ross Xpression, Softron OnTheAir Video, and Tricaster
• Willing to work directly with show hosts on occasion
• Editorial skills (helpful when editing shows and clips for social media)
