Job Summary:

The Vice President of Supply Chain Management will be a pivotal member of our executive team and responsible for leading and directing the company's supply chain management function. This includes overseeing the manufacturing, quality assurance and purchasing operations, developing and implementing strategies to optimize product line profitability, analyzing market trends and customer data to identify opportunities for growth, managing vendor relationships to ensure the availability of high-quality products at competitive prices and ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing processes. The Vice President of Supply Chain Management will work closely with other departments to ensure alignment with overall business objectives and report directly to the CEO.This role demands a visionary leader who can navigate complex global supply chain landscapes, leverage technology, and lead a team to deliver exceptional results.


Key Responsibilities:

· Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy, aligned with the company's goals, emphasizing efficiency, agility, and sustainability.

· Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

· Operational Excellence: Oversee all seafood supply chain operations, including procurement, demand forecasting, production planning, logistics, and inventory management, to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

· Supplier Relationships: Build and nurture strong relationships with key seafood suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing performance, and ensuring a robust and reliable seafood supply network.

· Technology Adoption: Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies and systems specific to the seafood industry to enhance supply chain visibility, streamline processes, and drive data-driven decision-making.

· Cost Optimization: Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives within the seafood supply chain without compromising quality, efficiency, or sustainability, and manage the supply chain budget effectively.

· Risk Management: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and minimize disruptions in the supply chain.

· Compliance and Sustainability: Ensure compliance with relevant seafood industry regulations and sustainability standards, while championing sustainability initiatives throughout the seafood supply chain.

· Performance Metrics: Establish KPIs and metrics to measure and report on supply chain performance, and use data-driven insights to continuously improve operations.

· Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing and Finance, to align seafood supply chain activities with overall business objectives.


Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, and other relevant software applications
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing supply chain management, manufacturing, and purchasing strategies that drive business results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of seafood market trends, consumer preferences, manufacturing processes, and procurement activities
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, manufacturing operations, and purchasing or related role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
