Job Description

Propio Language Services is transforming communication by developing tools and technologies that make it easier and more efficient for clients to engage with the Limited English Proficiency Population to improve access to healthcare and essential services in social services, education, legal and many others.


We’re seeking an experienced Vice President of Product Management who will be responsible for the strategy and execution of all Propio in flight products and lead the vision for future Propio product suite. This leader will help define product roadmaps, as well as planning, documenting, and managing product features and backlogs throughout the product development lifecycle. The VP of Product will lead the expansion of the team according to business needs.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct the product planning process across a product group by overseeing the development of requirement documents (user stories with acceptance criteria, use cases) for products or product releases.
  • Provides visibility to associates, communicating the product/product group roadmap, and keeping everyone informed of updates.
  • Works with the clients and technology teams to review and prioritize requests and incidents into the development backlog.
  • Responsible for managing Product Managers and Product Owners and developing the Product team strategy.
  • Tracks and reports on product launch metrics, utilizing feedback to drive associated actions and product iteration; contributes to post-launch reviews and drives incorporation of feedback in future product releases.
  • Build and leverage solid working relationships with associates, clients, and technology teams to facilitate successful product implementation.
  • Coordinate and maintain communication with relevant associates and clients regarding internal product service desk requests, including but not limited to bugs, new feature requests and enhancements, reporting, etc.
  • Manage the product roadmaps and detailed requirements, building partnerships with relevant teams, and making trade-off decisions for multiple products.
  • Maintain a prioritized product backlog based on defined business value, aligning with Product Strategy and resource capacity; uses data and analytics to prioritize the product backlog appropriately.
  • Perform competitive analysis of other products in the market.
  • Help Client Success Team to plan, develop, and implement product marketing strategies, collateral, and other publications.
  • Document and review product requirements based on product strategy.
  • Serve as the go-to resource for associates when it comes to the intricacies or mechanics of the product.
  • Aligns efforts across product teams, prioritizing as necessary, and driving/facilitating execution to maintain focus and appropriate momentum.
  • Manages the product development process by reviewing demos with the technology team and validating acceptance criteria for all products in the product group.
  • Writing technical user guides, product playbook and requirements documents, product release notes, etc.
  • Responsible for scaling the team in the organization.
  • Work with the CEO and relevant associates to identify and prioritize product group-level gaps; use findings to determine short and medium-term risk and opportunities for the product group and drive further customer adoption.
  • Stay up-to-date and knowledgeable on developments in the industry that could support or improve the product.


Basic Qualifications

  • Experience translating data into quantifiable actions/deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 7+ years' experience in Product Management
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Communications, or related experience in Product Management
  • Experience working in Agile (DevOps, Jira, etc.) and Product Management tools
  • Experience working cross‐functionally in a large organization


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data collection, extraction, and analysis and business intelligence and data visualization tools like Tableau or Microsoft Power BI
  • Prior experience in Language Service industry
  • Experience with prototyping, wireframing, and UI/UX design and collaboration tools such as Axure, Adobe XD, Balsamiq, Mockplus
  • Experience working closely with C-Suite leadership
