About the role

The VP of Finance – FP&A drives insight-based decision making throughout the business using analytics to accelerate revenue growth and increase profitability.The role works closely with the CFO to design, update, and oversee tools and models for financial forecasting and strategic planning. This person will take the lead role in designing and overseeing the development of the annual operational plan, including divisional and department level budgets, to meet goals established by senior executive leadership and to improve overall financial performance.The role will focus on simplification of information to help business leadership make timely decisions that ultimately increase revenue and profitability.

·Drive analysis of income statement and develop actionable insights into the business through compilation and analysis of weekly key performance metrics and Monthly Reporting Packages.Meet periodically with cross-functional leaders to highlight opportunities, track progress and flag performance challenges to aid in the company’s financial success.

·Develop intercompany divisional and departmental expense allocation policies reflective of use of company resources.

·Improve performance by challenging, developing, and improving processes to drive cost-efficiencies across all departments.

·Manage cash flow and working capital resources through reporting and projections to ensure the company has the necessary resources to drive business growth.

·Support human resources through various analytical tasks, including complex calculations pertaining to contractual agreements.

·Support contractual business opportunities, including state and federal program grants, by ensuring appropriate processes are designed and implemented to facilitate required external program-specific reporting.

·Support the Finance Team with tasks required to facilitate annual external audit and tax return preparation, including documentation of internal controls and preparation of year-end audit schedules.

·Support the Finance Team through documentation of key accounting work processes to ensure consistency across regions, gain efficiency, and to become ISO 9001 compliant.

·Support M&A in deal valuation and financial due diligence and manage the integration process of the accounting function for newly acquired companies.


Requirements

MUST

·Highly analytical with strong computer skills and high comfort using technology and systems, including advanced skills in MS Excel, Power Bi, and modeling

·Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and detail oriented

·Strong understanding of technical accounting (GAAP)

·Highly motivated professional committed to excellence, accuracy, and quality

·Flexible/Adaptable to change with a growth mindset

·Demonstrated ability to work as a valuable team member/leader as well as self-directed

·Outgoing and positive attitude to promote and support Company culture

·Excellent written and oral communication skills

·Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field

·CPA, CFA, or related certification

·8-10 years relevant accounting experience

PREFERRED

·MBA

·Successful implementation of an integrated planning/forecasting system

·Supervisory level accounting or financial management experience

·Acquisition experience
