YOUR LIFE AS A VET ASSISTANT

This animal care position has both full- and part-time positions available. Full-time veterinary assistants work four 10-hour shifts per week and take Saturday shifts.

As a Vet Assistant, you are an invaluable help to our vets. By assisting our doctors with administrative and technical tasks, you enable them to better serve the animals in our care. Each day, you arrive at your full- or part-time shift ready to take on whatever duties need to be done. Whether you're conducting patient assessments or performing procedures, you treat each furry friend as though they're your own. With loving attention, you help them feel at ease while also reassuring and providing education to their owners. Conscientious about the accuracy of our records, you document each step as you take medical histories, perform treatments, administer medications, and more.

At times, you assist with surgery, perform radiographs, trim nails, or clean teeth. You also take care of some administrative and housekeeping tasks, such as maintaining a clean office, answering the phone, and entering charges. Attentive to detail, you have the knack for seeing what needs to be done and then doing it, sometimes in creative ways. Whatever you do, you make our patients your number one priority, and you thrive on keeping them healthy and active. You love working with our furry friends, and they are the reason you can't wait to get to work every day!

What We Need From You

  • Ability to perform the physical functions of the job, including the capacity to lift 40 lbs. unassisted
  • 2+ years of experience in the veterinary field
  • Basic computer and typing skills

If you can meet these requirements and perform this full- or part-time animal care job as described above, we would be happy to have you as part of our veterinary team!
