The primary purpose of this position is to provide vehicle control capabilities to the 88 Civil Engineering Directorate to ensure all vehicles are leased or purchased, accounted for, maintained, and replaced as needed: to serve as the vehicle control liaison with Wing and MAJCOM leadership; ensure CE skilled trades have proper vehicles and specialized equipment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level which includesexperience in vehicle fleet. This experience must have demonstrated knowledge of fleet operations; familiarity with Federal, State, and municipal regulations governing the use of transportation vehicles; and the maintenance of inventories and costs OR Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related; education must have major field of study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position.   • Provides training validations and government vehicle and specialized equipment operator licenses and fuel key requests.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, analyze problems, develop economical solutions autonomously and timely in a small to medium sized organization.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and implements vehicle program as dictated by MAJCOM and base leadership.
  • Knowledge of established planning, scheduling, and dispatching support methods to carry out assignments.
  • Manages, maintains, and organizes the activities of the vehicle and specialized equipment requirements for Civil Engineering Squadron, ensuring customer support complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer and mission needs.
