Vascular Sonographer - Per Diem

The Vascular Sonographer is responsible for:

• Maintaining own clinical competency and mandatory requirements
• Adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Providing age specific care, education and imaging procedures in conjunction with other members of the defined health care team.
• Participating in QC and PI activities

This is a casual (per diem) position, 10 hour varied shifts (primarily covering call and PTO as needed) and is located at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas.

Required Qualifications:

• RVT or RVS

• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

• Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years’ experience

• Imaging experience in a hospital or clinic setting

• Specialized Skills in complex vascular ultrasound techniques/exams.

• Knowledge of patient focused care delivery

• Completion of formal training/educational program in a school that is accredited by CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs)
