Upward Bound Professional Communications Instructor

Wilkes University invites applicants for open Professional Communications teaching positions in the Upward Bound program. Upward Bound is a federally funded TRIO program, which provides support to high school students in career exploration and their preparation for college; ultimately, in their higher education pursuits.

The successful candidate is responsible for implementing the academic component of the program by introducing a small group of high school students to various "professional" communications skills; such as, demonstrating formal diction, how to write an email, how to request letters of recommendation, etc... A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Education, or a related field is required.

This is a part-time/temporary position with a competitive hourly wage. Dates run from September 21st through December 7th. Classes are held only on Thursday nights from 6:30 PM – 8:20 PM. The candidate will be responsible for two, one hour, periods.
