Unloader Mill Tech Jobs

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Completes on-track beginning of each shift and delivers to Mill Accounting Clerk at designated time.

• Assists on minor maintenance on Feed Mill including elevators.
• Accurately maintains receiving log.
• Follows written sampling procedures to insure ingredient quality.
• Serves as back-up for control room operator.
• Examines ingredients for proper quality and secures a sample of each delivery.
• Reports any error in mixing of feeds or ingredients in wrong bins to Milling Supervisor.
• Follows written housekeeping/-cleaning duties.
• Reports any equipment malfunction to Milling Supervisor.
• Completes track log sheet indicating location of each railcar.
• Operates rail scales and weight ticket stamping device to accurately weigh railcars and/or trucks.
• Operates railcar-moving vehicle. Completes checklist before use.
• Performs other duties as directed by Milling Supervisor.
• Verifies truck/railcar delivery information and insures ingredients is delivered to correct storage bin in mill.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

In addition to meeting the basic qualifications for new employees, the employee must also meet the following qualifications.

• Must be able to climb a 125 ft. ladder and work at heights of at least 40 ft. above a structure.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Must be adaptive to night work on a rotating shift basis, and to work in dusty and noisy conditions.
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to lift and handle at least 100 lbs.
• Must be able to follow detailed processes and have good clerical skills.
