Javelin Utility Services is a fast-growing leader in the telecommunications services industries, headquartered in Roseville, CA that provides construction services to clients in Washington, Oregon, California, and Texas. Our team provides experience in the ISP and OSP fiber and copper cable upgrades, design & engineering, and traffic control services. We work for clients such as Charter/Spectrum Communications, MasTec, Wave Broadband, Wholesail, and others.

Javelin Utility Services Inc. is searching for an Underground Utility Laborer to join us in our Springfield, OR office. The Laborer would be doing work in new construction, replacement and repair of coax and fiber plant; placement and repair of conduit systems, pull or place coax and fiber, road, and driveway boring, asphalt cut and repair. The ability to read system prints is helpful.

Required Qualifications:

• Understand how to read and construct from design schematic of prints
• Read and understand schematics and construction prints
• Loading and unloading materials and equipment
• Knowledge of established underground cable installation procedures and techniques
• Familiarity with POBT and ODOT rules and regulations
• Underground activities, such as proof and place cable/fiber in conduit
• Perform installation, relocation, and maintenance of aerial plants
• At least two (1) year of related construction experience
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
• Understand all inventory and equipment required for projects
• Tool and Equipment management

Job Requirements:

• Javelin Utility Services Inc. is a DRUG FREE WORKPLACE
• Must pass U/A Test (urinalysis)
• Be able to lift and carry 70 lbs. and up to 100 lbs. as needed with or without assistance
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have a clean driving record and a Valid Driver’s License.
