Underground Utilities Division - Laborer

P&CG has multiple openings for Laborers within the Underground Utilities Division!

JOB SUMMARY: The Underground Utilities Division performs underground electric, telecom and fiber infrastructure construction and maintenance. Those services include Duct Bank Installation, Manhole Installation, Conduit Installation, Handhole Installation, Duct Bank Repair, Manhole Maintenance and Repair and Manhole Surveys.
PAY RANGE: $20-$26 Based on Experience

Requirements:

• Ability to demonstrate safe practices while working in public right-of-ways and roads
• Ability to read drawings
• Knowledge of utility marking system
• OSHA 10 certification (will provide if you don't have)
• Familiarity working around heavy equipment, including digging to expose live utilities
• Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Previous relevant utility construction experience
• Is a strong team player

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Cannot have a fear of heights
• Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required
• Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.

Any offer of employment is contingent upon passing a DOT Physical, drug screen, background check and driver's license check, and candidates must maintain passing results throughout the term of employment with P&CG.
