Ultrasonographer Jobs

Under the direction of a Radiologist and Ultrasound team lead, the Sonographer performs a variety of Diagnostic Ultrasound Procedures.

• Efficiently and accurately performs all types of diagnostic medical sonography tests including abdominal, ob/gyn, and any ultrasound procedure that may be incorporated into the Ultrasound Department.

• Provides clinical and technical information to assist the Radiologist in sonographic interpretation for patients.

• Checks equipment and accessories to insure they are in proper operating condition.

• Operates and maintains ultrasound equipment as required.

• Cleans probes according to manufacturers recommendations while adhering to infection control standards. Strip test cidex for probe cleaning

• Maintains an orderly flow of patients to and from Ultrasound Department.

• Verifies assession number of the acquired images, checks all acceptable parameters prior to transmitting the PACs workstation for radiologist interpretation.

Successful completion of AMA approved school of Ultrasound. RDMS eligible. RDMS certified within one year from date of hire.
