UI Front End Developer

The Opportunity:

Are you an expert in user interface (UI) development looking to design and implement highly scalable, durable, and secure web-based applications and services? In this role, you’ll manage the delivery of the most advanced digital solutions. You’ll work directly with clients on an external client portal. You’ll move quickly in a fast-paced and fluid environment.

You Have:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Ability to perform requirement analyses
  • Ability to conduct unit testing using automated unit test frameworks
  • Knowledge of front-end design patterns, including responsive design and how to discuss the trade-offs of each approach
  • 5+ years of experience with web application development, including editing HTML and CSS by hand
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with creating seamless user interfaces that integrate a composite of COTS and custom code
  • Experience with front-end JavaScript development frameworks and libraries, including Angular, react.js, node.js, or jquery
  • Knowledge of estimation techniques
  • Ability to develop high-quality and detailed designs

  • Experience leading a team
  • Ability to review the work of other developers, provide feedback, and use coding standards and best practices to ensure quality
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot performance issues and optimize web applications
  • Ability to identify risk and conduct mitigation action planning and configuration of your own work
  • Knowledge of Section 508 best practices
  • Experience working in or with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of user interface best practices
  • Experience working with UX designers
  • Experience with Pega

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
