Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, walls, floors, and drains in all areas of the plant. Sanitation is responsible for supporting the BRC & NSF programs within scope of the job function. Maintain general housekeeping throughout the plant.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Sanitation Lead, Supervisor and QA Management
Supervises:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma, equivalent (GED), or demonstrated proficiency through previous job experience and/or training in related performance responsibilities listed below
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Sanitation A must be proficient in 5 different areas and be familiar with all chemical properties and functions and what chemicals to use for different applications.
  • Required to complete the Annual Chemical Training and must work alongside the Sanitation Lead for a period of time before working independently.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Dis-assemble and re-assemble equipment to thoroughly clean and sanitize machinery.
2. Clean all tubs, baskets, utensils, walls, drains, floors, containers, waste baskets, surroundings and be able to properly dispose of waste and other materials.
3. Report any equipment damaged to the Sanitation Lead or Management immediately.
4. Maintain general housekeeping throughout the Plant
5. Adhere to common safety practices and rules; including wearing protective equipment and clothing as required.
6. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety requirements to ensure high product integrity.
7. Must not leave assigned area, unless given permission by Lead, Supervisor, or management.
8. Report any product, questionable in quality, to Quality Assurance or Plant management immediately.
9. Looking to make continuous improvements to the procedures and operations plant wide.
10. Must be able to work independently without supervision, where necessary
11. Perform other duties as assigned by Plant management
