Job Description

Position Purpose: The TRICARE Beneficiary Educator is responsible for beneficiary education activities as required by the allocated hours in the assigned service area, as well as support for referral and/or enrollment processing as assigned.
Schedule, coordinate and deliver required education and briefing activities with question/answer sessions in large and small group settings, and coordinates and staffs information tables and booths at various events.
Keeps up-to-date on TRICARE program changes to ensure briefing content is current and complete.
Support requested guard and reserve component beneficiary education as requested. Coordinates with guard and reserve requestors to ensure appropriate level of support and compliance with allocated hours.
Processes referrals and/or enrollments for assigned geographic area.
Education/Experience: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience workin in association with, or for, a DoD Managed Care Support Contractor (TRICARE), Medicare/Medicaid Program, Commerical Healthcare Plan or Healthcare Provider/Group. Functional understanding of how any/all of the above healthcare programs work and their coordinator of benefits. Ability to accurately and easily educate and convey benefits structures to briefing/presentation attendees. Minimum 2 years of experience conducting presentations and briefings to groups and audiences of various sizes. Experience in customer relations, public contact position, and/or TRICARE experience preferred.
