Job Description
Overview And Essential Functions


Looking for an opportunity to make a difference? Then you may have found your next career move. We’re looking for Tree Crew Laborers (based out of Lincolnton, NC) to join our team and help connect America.


What you'll do:


  • Operate boom trucks, brush chippers/grinders, power saws, trucks and other equipment typical to the tree maintenance industry
  • Cut away dead or excess branches from trees, or clear branches around power and communication lines using climbing equipment, or buckets of extended truck booms, while operating chainsaws, hand saws, or pruning equipment
  • Collect debris from trimming and removal operations into piles using rakes, shovels, and/or forks
  • Operate shredding and chipping equipment and feed limbs and brush into these machines
  • Load debris onto trucks in preparation for hauling away
  • Remove broken limbs from utility wires using hooked extension poles
  • Trim, top and reshape trees to achieve attractive shapes or to remove low-hanging branches


Qualifications


Who we are looking for:


  • You are able to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.
  • You are able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
  • You are able to work in congested/remote areas
  • You have prior experience with Tree Trimmming (preferred)
  • You have basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • You have basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner
  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You are able to brace, tie, and guide trees and branches to provide support
  • You are able to climb trees using climbing belt, or climb ladders to gain access to work area
  • You are able to work as needed (over-time, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies or on-call)
  • You have valid driver's license (CDL a plus)
  • You have prior experience within the Telecommunications or Utility Construction/Maintenance industry (preferred)
  • You are able to maintain a safe work environment
  • You are authorized to work in the United States for this company
  • You are able to work in all weather conditions
