About the job

The Treasury Operations and Cash Management Associate will manage permissions for the treasury platform system including receiving and disbursing payment wires across all funds and leverage facilities. The Cash Management team serves as the central point for treasury functions in Operations and connects across Distribution and Investment teams.

The successful candidate is expected to:

  • Provide high quality client service externally and internally, answering inquiries and resolving problems from clients as well as internal FS groups.
  • Escalate any material risk items and/or the potential of missed deadlines.
  • Initiate custody wires and cash transfer requests; respond to daily requests for information from assigned FS teams and clients.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across FS teams and clients.
  • Ensure status on exceptions are continuously updated and items are directed to the appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Serve as the recordkeeper of all cash movement by using Kyriba to access all cash flow in the firm for internal and external audit purposes, as well as expediting timeframes of past cash movement.
  • Work closely with internal groups, including COO, CFO, Legal, Portfolio Finance, Investment Operations, Fund Finance, Tax, I.T, Compliance, Corporate Accounting, Fund Reconciliations, and Fund Control.
  • Develop and enhance working relationships with key individuals and departments to facilitate the resolution process, both internally and externally.
  • Maintain regular contact with internal and external stakeholders to discuss issues and new initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to use factual data in decision making process, while working under critical deadlines.
  • Problem-solving capabilities; ability to think and act quickly.
  • Aptitude to manage competing deadlines and prioritize responsibilities throughout the day.
  • Strong initiative to resolve issues; ask questions, identify what needs to be done and take actions.
  • Experience working with multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Strong diligence to ensure accuracy of work.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in investments, financial services, or the banking industry; treasury experience is preferred.
  • Strong and effective communication skills, dealing directly with clients and across all levels of staff and management.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Capable of researching exception items and developing paths for corrective action.
