Job Description
We are seeking a International Treasury Analyst who will be responsible for entering wire transfer and ACH payments through JP Morgan's Chase ACCESS system and Standard Chartered Bank's Straight-2-Bank's system. The International Treasury Analyst is also responsible for assisting with investigations and resolution of issues related to wire transfers and ACH payments.
The International Treasury Analyst will provide excellent administrative and customer support services to various stakeholders across the Johns Hopkins University Business offices. This frontline position will be responsible for accurate payment processing and payment research and investigations.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for Entering Third Party Wires through JP Morgan
Verify accuracy of payment file created from SAP to include validating banking instructions and modifying payment details.
Enter new vendor bank account information into JP Morgan Access.
Initiate wire payments.
Initiate State tax payments and ACH payments.
Initiate foreign currency wires through JP Morgan Access.
Verify all foreign wires being processed through JP Morgan ACCESS are entered using the proper currency (USD vs. local currency), are compliant with OFAC regulations and have proper documentation and approvals.
Review bank reports to determine if any payments have rejected.
Run routine daily transaction reports in JPMorgan Access.
Follow-up with JP Morgan to investigate potential problems and identify a resolve.
Responsible for Entering Wires Through Standard Chartered Bank
Verify accuracy of payment file created from SAP.
Initiate foreign currency wires through Straight-2-Bank.
Verify all foreign wires being processed through Straight-2-Bank are entered using the proper currency (USD vs. local currency), are compliant with OFAC regulations and have proper documentation and approvals.
Initiate special payroll wires.
Follow-up with Standard Chartered Bank to investigate potential problems and identify a resolve.
Assist with Investigation and resolution of wire transfers/ACH payments
Respond to inquiries from JP Morgan through JP Morgan Access-EServe.
Work closely with customer service representatives at Standard Chartered Bank to address any returned/held wires.
Customer Service & Administrative Responsibilities
Provide explanations to customers by responding to payment related issues.
Provide payment confirmations as requested by various stakeholders.
Prepare completed wires with payment confirmations reports.
Scan, file, and convert documents to PDF for management signatures and electronic filing.
Other duties as assigned.
Contacts
Work closely with Treasury Associate and other Treasury Operations Team members.
Work closely with University banking partners and Accounts Payable Shared Services.
Work closely with the Director of Treasury Operations- Daily/Weekly.
Essential Skills
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Office.
Analytical skills and attention to detail required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field required.
One year of related financial/accounting, treasury operations, or banking activities.
Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.
