Responsibilities


We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Software Development Tools Systems Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in designing, developing, and delivering training for tools related to IT software development. The successful candidate will demonstrate proven ability to deliver training to both technical and non-technical team members. This role requires expertise in creating training modules and conducting training sessions in various formats, including in-person and virtual settings. Proficiency in virtual learning and meeting platforms and training delivery tools, such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Cornerstone OnDemand, Camtasia, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, SnagIt, and Articulate is required. The trainer should be proficient in using and training others on a range of software development tools like Jira, GitHub, GitLabs, Jenkins, Prometheus, Loki, and JMeter. Functional knowledge of cloud technologies is ideal.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assessment and Feedback: Monitor the progress of trainees, provide assessments, and gather feedback to continuously refine and improve training programs.
  • In-Person and Virtual Training: Deliver training through a combination of in-person and virtual formats, catering to the diverse learning preferences of team members.
  • Tool Training: Demonstrate expertise in the delivery of training related to software development tools, including Jira, Confluence, GitHub, GitLabs, Jenkins, Prometheus, Loki, JMeter, and similar applications, ensuring trainees acquire practical skills to use these applications.
  • Training Development and Delivery Tools: Utilize various training delivery tools, virtual learning and meeting platforms, including: Microsoft PowerPoint, Cornerstone OnDemand, Camtasia, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, SnagIt, and Articulate. Proficiently employ training delivery tools, such as Cornerstone OnDemand, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and Articulate.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of training materials, participant progress, and training outcomes.
  • Virtual Learning and Meeting Platforms: Utilize and instruct on the effective use of virtual learning and meeting platforms, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Cornerstone OnDemand, Camtasia, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, SnagIt, and Articulate.
  • Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and informative training sessions for both technical and non-technical team members on various aspects of IT software development tools and life cycle management tools.
  • Training Module Creation: Develop comprehensive training modules, materials, and documentation for software development tools and technologies.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Communications, or a field related to the delivery of IT training.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • 4+ years of experience in delivery of training related to software development tools.
  • Functional knowledge of cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Adaptability in tailoring training methods to suit diverse learning styles.
  • Proficiency with virtual learning and meeting platforms, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Cornerstone OnDemand, Camtasia, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, SnagIt, and Articulate.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • 4+ years of experience delivering training to technical and non-technical team members.
  • Proficiency in delivering training related to applications such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, GitLabs, Jenkins, Prometheus, Loki, JMeter, and other relevant software development tools.


Physical Requirements: These are the essential physical requirements needed to successfully perform the job.
  • Sedentary work.
  • May require lifting up to 5 pounds unassisted.
  • Other: Work may be performed in an office environment, which may involve frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times.
  • Hearing, speaking, and vision: Adequate to perform job duties and communicate in person, via video, and telephone. Includes reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
  • Requires sitting up to 8 hours per day.
  • Fine repetitive motor skills with hands, wrists, and fingers in coordination with eyes.
