Torch Welder Jobs

• Carry out preventative maintenance and repair of piping systems and metal structures. Ensure welding operations meet set specifications and construction requirements.
• Measure and align workpieces using straightedges, clamps, and calipers.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, schematics, and codes.
• Maintain good working knowledge of the welding characteristics of metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium.
• Operate power and hand tools such as arc welders, buffing machine, and scrapers.
• Reading blueprints or technical schematics. Strong attention to detail to ensure the quality of each weld and the safety of the workplace.
• Oversee the set-up of TIG welding equipment.
• Ensure compliance with established health/safety policies and regulations.
• Use gas tungsten arc equipment as part of the fabrication process.
• Carry out grinding and thermal cutting operations to obtain various textures and sizes for metal parts.
• Torch Welder experienced in stainless steel and aluminum, as well as MIG welding processes and various grinding tools.

Requirements

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to be fitted for a full and or partial face respirator
• Ability to multi-task
• Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
