Job Summary: The Title IX EEO Investigator I performs fact-gathering and investigative functions primarily related to sexual misconduct and harassment, and/or protected class discrimination and harassment incidents for faculty, staff and students.
Additional Department Summary: The Title IX/Equal Opportunity Investigator I position is primarily responsible for conducting investigations based on alleged violations of the Title IX and Sexual Misconduct Policy, Harassment Policy, and Consensual Romantic Relationship Policy.
Must be able to respond to crisis situations during non-work hours/days.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of work experience conducting investigations in one of the following fields: criminal justice, legal, human resources, EEO, Title IX, public safety, social work, or security; OR Master’s degree; OR Juris Doctorate
Skills and Knowledge: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with diverse populations and in teams. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. Experience with conducting investigations and gathering evidence. Ability to remain neutral in conducting investigations. Ability to maintain sensitive and private information. Ability to work in stressful situations.
Preferred Qualifications: JD or Master's degree in social work, human resources management, or other related field. Experience working with protected class harassment/discrimination and sexual misconduct cases at the college level.
