Job Description

I. Job Summary


In partnership with Market Area leadership, responsible for managing industry-leading maintenance performance and asset utilization.


II. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.


Provide subject matter expertise to Market Area (MA) Fleet and District Managers to ensure that preventative maintenance processes, rebuilds, and general repairs conform to WM standards.


Perform routine operations and maintenance reviews.


Work with MA’s to plan and budget upcoming machine replacements and midlife rebuilds utilizing tools and technology that support condition-based maintenance.


Work on asset strategies to improve utilization, optimize capital spend, and reduce overall maintenance cost.


Ensure correct equipment specifications are followed when approving replacements.


Ensure a compliment of the correct size and amount of equipment is being utilized at each location.


Ensure asset disposal/disposition when replaced.


Site support – work with dealers to improve relationships, find resolutions to problem areas, assist with alternatives when failures occur, etc.


Support MA’s - equipment info, operating cost, etc. Assist in developing MAFM’s technical expertise to ensure integration of technology from equipment into site daily operating model.


Work with Corporate Team on equipment issues, problems, updates, etc. Facilitate technical and operational training from OEM’s and or suppliers as required to ensure compliance with the latest tools and technologies.


Work with vendors on various processes and procedures to ensure optimal maintenance of equipment.


III. Supervisory Responsibilities


The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of supervisory employees.


IV. Qualifications


The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.


Education and Experience


Education: Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of experience


Experience: Seven (7) years of relevant experience (in addition to education requirements)
