Job Description

Description And Requirements


This position will assist the program manager in conducting beta testing for next-generation ThinkPads providing the candidate a broad range of lab-based experience inside Quality Engineering. This is a hands-on position which will expand your understanding of PC hardware, subsystems, and the Windows OS & drivers, in addition to the workings of a global team within one of the world's leading technology firms.


Specific tasks will include:


  • System review, problem identification, defect triage and reporting
  • Work with engineering teams for problem reproduction/debug and testing teams for solution verification
  • End user support


Qualifications


  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel
  • Self-motivated
  • Hobbyist or professional experience with PC assembly/repair preferred
  • Familiar with Windows OS
  • Sophomore level or higher pursuing a BA or BS degree required
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot PC issues
  • Good organizational skills
