Job Description
Resonant Link envisions a world with untethered batteries to electrify the future of work, logistics, transportation, and patient care, enabling a healthier, more sustainable future. Our innovative, world-class team focuses on transforming wireless charging to:
  • Power fleets while they work: integrating our fast, wireless chargers into the stops that already exist during fleet operation (think pick stations for robots or loading docks for forklifts).
  • Eliminate drivelines and risky battery replacement surgeries, forever: integrating our fast, efficient, and tiny wireless chargers into active, implantable medical devices like neurostimulators, pumps, and pacemakers.
As our Test Technician, you’ll be collaborating with industry-leading engineers at our lab headquarters in Burlington, VT, and will be responsible for executing detailed test plans in order to organize & share the results with our Mobility Team. This includes hands-on work creating custom test fixtures and using lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, probes, thermocouples, and etc., to collect the data necessary for developing and manufacturing our Alpha Lift Truck Wireless Charger. You’ll be supported in safely gaining (or honing existing) experience with high voltage power supplies and loads.
Initially, this role will focus on test data compilation, critical for the design & operation of our game-changing Lift Truck Wireless Charger, and then will transition into providing verification and validation support for additional stages of the product lifecycle such as certification and end-of-line testing, in collaboration with our engineering & manufacturing teams.
We’re committed to building a healthy, collaborative culture - and to help us deliver on our mission, we’re looking for empathetic problem solvers and leaders, with a passion for solving big challenges at the boundary between scientific innovation and productization. If you get energized by working at the intersection of team, tools, and technology, we’re excited for you to bring your expertise, creativity, and leadership to the team!
On an average day, you’ll..
  • Collect, parse, and present test data to our development and manufacturing team, helping drive design and manufacturing process change for our Mobility Wireless Chargers.
  • Execute test plans to verify product operation and behavior while adhering to safe lab practices around high voltage (HV) equipment.
  • Ensure the proper use of testing equipment within the mobility lab along with notifying the lab manager of calibration and maintenance needs.
  • Approximately 2-3 times a year, travel to 3rd party Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs) to operate the Mobility Lift Truck Charger to assist with certification testing efforts.
  • Help facilitate and organize testing workflows for other teams when appropriate in spirit of our “One Team, One Mission” value.
  • Provide suggestions and feedback for testing modifications.
  • Design, build, set-up test fixtures, jigs, and workbenches to help facilitate testing workflows.
Requirements
  • Safely operate lab equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems and manage / document the data that these instruments produce.
  • Assemble hardware, including test fixtures and jigs and comfort with using readily available materials to quickly and rapidly prototype concepts.
  • Selectively parse data produced by testing into reports that highlight the most significant parts of that dataset quickly and accurately.
  • Adapt plans and schedules to navigate equipment/space sharing in an environment where flexibility is essential to maintaining productive workflows.
  • Follow pre-made plans that have highly specific and detailed instructions and test parameters, with an attention to detail, to not only the test itself, but also auxiliary tasks around performing that test.
Nice-to-Have Experience & Skills (Not Required)
  • Ability to use entry level machine shop tools (CNC, drill press, band saw, etc.)
  • Experience working safely with high voltage and high power equipment.
  • Knowledge of how to work with power electronics, mechanical heatsinking, magnetics, and/or embedded devices.
  • Familiar with the use of thermal imaging cameras and placement of thermocouples with regards to obtaining accurate thermal data.
  • Have previously interfaced with lab equipment through USB, GPIB, LAN with the intent to automate/streamline testing and data acquisition.
Who we’re looking for:
  • You have a strong attention to detail and are thorough when reading and executing test plans because you recognize the impact that details like test parameters have on the global picture, not just the problem at hand.
  • You’re a collaborative, respectful, and honest team member - you understand the impact of your work/your team’s work on other projects and people, and you know together is always better!
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills that you can leverage to communicate test results, blockers to progress, or needed changes to a highly collaborative, cross-functional team.
  • You operate with empathy, integrity, and a growth mindset, viewing mistakes and challenges as learning opportunities and building upon your successes. You challenge yourself to continuously grow and improve.
  • You’re adept at working in a distributed, dynamic environment, and feel comfortable navigating change and ambiguity.
  • You're a creative problem solver that takes the initiative to independently solve problems, but know when you need to ask questions for additional support, and are comfortable with doing so.
Benefits
  • Learning/career development investment in your professional and personal growth including hiring outside mentors, professional development courses, and more
  • 401(k) retirement benefit
  • Company outings & team retreats
  • Generous paid parental and family leave
  • Paid holidays (including a week off at new year) and an unlimited vacation policy
  • 100% health, dental, and vision coverage for employees
  • Competitive salary and generous stock options
