Test Engineer Jobs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assemble test fixtures according to engineering specifications and schematics.
• Perform specialized electronics technical procedures and/or testing methods with various products.
• Operate and maintain various equipment and lab ware; trouble-shoot equipment.
• Understand and follow laboratory safety rules, procedures and guidelines when working with high-voltage devices (650-1000V).
• Perform power device characteristics tests and document processes according to engineering specifications.
• Maintain and troubleshoot test fixtures.
• Regular attendance is an essential job function.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:

• Attention to Safety.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Basic knowledge of electronics theory and practices.
• Strong skills in SMT/through-hole soldering and de-soldering, down to 0402.
• Familiarity with various electronic test equipment and test practices to capture accurate and consistent data.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools, shop tools and lab equipment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics and drawings.
• Proficiency with PC-based software tools (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Lab equipment experience: AC/DC power supplies, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Multi-meters, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Electronics Lab environment and/or 1+ year soldering experience is a plus. Training will be provided.
• Education: AS/BS in STEM, prefer EE or Physics

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000. This position qualifies for the following benefits package:

This base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and relevant knowledge or training.
