Laborie Medical Technologies is currently searching for a Test Engineer (Automation) to join our team at our Portsmouth, NH location.

Position Overview:

The Test Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, development and documentation efforts for Laborie’s proprietary software systems and connected proprietary medical devices. S/he will work amongst a cross-functional team with the goal of understanding the assigned work and improving Laborie products. As a solution-oriented individual, they will help drive effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance within the team. The ability to establish time estimates and schedules, provide clear and concise status updates, as well as the ability to show progress towards overall project goals to leadership teams is required.


How you contribute:

  • Provide feedback to improve various software and verification processes.
  • Identify obstacles and meet deadlines.
  • Contribute to development and quality of Laborie software products.
  • Additional work as assigned.
  • Works with leadership and development teams to establish best practices.
  • Participate in requirements development and systems level document reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
  • 3+ years relevant work experience in related field
  • Strong debugging skills.
  • Degree or certificate in a scientific or technical field, or relative work experience required.
  • Experience with FDA’s Quality System Regulation (CFR 820) and/or ISO 13485 is preferred.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience testing and troubleshooting peripheral device communication and connectivity (Bluetooth/USB)
  • Experience testing systems in a regulated industry user/patient safety is preferred (e.g., medical device, automotive, aerospace).
  • Experience with Microsoft TFS/Azure DevOps, Microsoft Test Manager (MTM).
  • Experience assisting in the definition of system level test strategies.
  • Experience in an automated test environment developing automation for tests with C#, .NET in the Windows environment.

Requirements

  • Developing automated tests (C#) to support software verification efforts.
  • Automating manual and semi-manual test cases.
  • Reviewing nightly regression test failures to find and report bugs.
  • Improving test automation software to make tests more reliable.
