Test Engineer Advisor *100% Remote Opportunity*

GDIT is looking for a Test Engineer to support the iQIES PASCID contract. Responsibilities will include analyzing requirements for testing utilizing Agile methodologies, developing and executing automated test scripts and test plans, and evaluating results in support of ensuring the quality of the software meets requirements and is fit for release.

The automation software used will be Cypress and/or Selenium against Oracle and PostgreSQL database systems.

Testers typically work in teams consisting of developers, a business analyst, and scrum master, both internal and external, and are responsible for specific sections of the application under test. Testers should have good interpersonal and team skills; ability to work collaboratively with others for problem solving and solution development as well as the ability to work independently on assignments and must meet deadlines.

Typical duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Collaborate closely with other team members.
• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies.
• Help troubleshoot issues.
• Analyze user stories and requirements for validity and feasibility.
• Participate in all Scrum Ceremonies.
• Analyze data specifications and understand what needs to be tested.
• Design and implement testing plans and record test results.
• Provide additional support and documentation as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Evaluate test results according to specifications.
• Design, develop, run, and support automation scripts for use in regression testing and other levels when needed (may be for GUI designs, stress or load testing).
• Execute all levels of testing (system, integration, regression, and post-implementation).

Required Qualifications

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools and working in an Agile team environment.
• Familiarity/Experience with test management tool such as TestRail.
• 2+ years using automated testing tools.
• Good time-management skills.
• Experience using database query languages, such as SQL, to assess the state of the data before and after test transactions are performed.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or a related discipline, and 8+ years of software testing experience, or specific work experience commensurate with a degree and experience.
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the healthcare industry, specifically Medicare & Medicaid,
• Experience working with Atlassian products, such as Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge and experience with the QIES Legacy applications a definite plus.
• Experience using Selenium and Ruby.
