Job Description
Summary
BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is recruiting for a new team of telemarketers for our Medicare Advantage Plans.

We are looking for talented, energetic, competitive sales experts that have a passion to excel! Experienced, licensed agents are desired but if you’re Not licensed, No problem. If you’re the right fit, BlueCross will cover your training to become a licensed agent. Our department is hiring a team of professionals who are ready and qualified to represent South Carolina’s most trusted health insurance company.

Description

Location: Columbia, SC (Onsite)
What You’ll Do
  • Process applications and prepare marketing/information packets.
  • Assists with decisions regarding plans and products.
  • Follow up on leads provided from internal sources.
  • Place and answer (inbound and outbound) telephone calls to/from potential customers.
  • Generate letters to prospective customers.
Required Education:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Preferred Work Experience:
  • Six-months of sales or sales related experience.
Required Skills and Training:
  • Working knowledge of word processing software.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good judgment skills.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
  • Effective customer service skills.
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others.
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheet and database software.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
Required Software and Other Tools:
  • Microsoft Office.
Preferred Software and Other Tools:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, or other spreadsheet/database software.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
  • Department of Insurance Licensure (must have)
  • American Health Insurance Professionals Certification
