Job Description

Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Telehealth Veterinary Technician to join our Healthcare Team. Come join our growing organization and be a part of revolutionizing the virtual care industry! Join a team that cares deeply about improving pet health compliance and providing best in class customer service for both the pet parent and veterinary community. The shifts for this role will be 8 hours, scheduled 5 days per week with the following shift: Wednesday - Friday, 3pm - 11:15pm ET & Saturday and Sunday, 8am - 4:15pm ET.

What You'll Do:

  • Chewy offers holiday pay on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
  • Participate in program development and enhancing training procedures.
  • Collaborate with Chewy Health team members on the development of current and new services and products.
  • Identify and triage platform improvements and support innovative advancements.
  • The Telehealth Veterinary Technician will participate and champion the support and education to Chewy's pet parents on products and services that help animal health and wellbeing.
  • Candidates must be willing to commit to working 40hrs/weekly, some weekend and/or evening shifts included.
  • Chewy offers full training and necessary materials for the vet tech to support and provide effective communication with pet parents efficiently.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on companion animal health and wellness for Chewy Health.

What You'll Need:

  • Have access to high-speed internet and additional back up WiFi via hotspot.
  • Is passionate about helping people and pets with empathy and excellent customer service focus.
  • 3+ years of small animal veterinary experience or equivalent industry experience.
  • Comfortable in a fast paced, self-starter environment.
  • Have a designated working space that is quiet and free from disruptions.
  • Has exemplary listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Someone who embraces forward thinking and curiosity.
  • Ability to multitask comfortably.
  • Active Vet Tech License / Certification (CVT, LVT or RVT)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have proficient computer skills as this will require interacting with customers and Chewy team members remotely through an online platform.
  • A Veterinary Technology associates or bachelor’s degree from a NAVTA and/or AVMA-CVTEA accredited program, or equivalent is required.
  • Is comfortable collaborating with other veterinary technicians, veterinarians, utilizing a team-oriented environment.
  • Minimal travel required.
