Job Description
Summary You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the MINOR CALIBER GUNS BRANCH of the GUNS DIVISION of the SYSTEMS INTEGRATION DEPARTMENT of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. This position is equivalent to the GS-11/12 level. Responsibilities You will provide In-Service support and representation of the Minor Caliber Guns Branch during the manufacture, installation, repair, troubleshooting, overhaul, and conversion of NAVSEA Minor Caliber Guns. You will conduct Naval Minor Caliber gun pre-fire checks, live fire exercises, post fire and periodic weapon maintenance, and weapon inventory accountability actions You will provide advice to managers, supervisors, peers, and sponsors on specific technical aspects of Naval Minor Caliber gun systems or concept development and will communicate with the chain of command. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and interpreting technical engineering procedures to plan, coordinate, and execute the installation, repair, troubleshooting, overhaul, or conversion of gun weapons systems while ensuring compliance with technical requirements.
