Technical Writer Jobs

Gridiron IT is seeking a Technical Writer local to Washington DC with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Essential Duties:

• Requires an understanding of the applicable technical subject matter, an understanding of any governing regulations and specifications, and the ability to present technical subject matter in clear, concise, and accurately written format.
• Support Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation and experience with IT System Security Plan (SSP) controls and/or procedures and policies
• Requires an ability to work with technical specialists and applicable functional managers. Reviews, analyzes, edits, and updates written technical material developed by others. Minimum Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience.
• Writing/editing tasks for specifications, reports, studies, letters, briefings, manuals, and other activities.

Minimum Experience, Education and Certification:

• Capital Planning and Investment Control;
• Information Technology Portfolio Management;
• Joint Requirements and Integration and Management System;
• Requires knowledge and experience with financial management systems
• Requires understanding of and experience with the Planning, Programming and Budgeting Execution process for DHS
• Requires a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in technical research and writing.
• Requires familiarity with:
• Performance Management Framework
• Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience.
• Acquisition Management;
