Job Description
Technical Project Manager

Trajector helps the underserved and at-risk disabled population in their quest to receive all the disability benefits they medically, legally, and ethically qualify for from both government and private entities. We develop medical evidence that helps our clients navigate the complex disability benefits journey to improve their life trajectory.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Document the end-to-end workflow(s) of a project and use this to help drive the project towards successful completion.
  • Define project objectives, scope, tasks, deliverables, and schedule in collaboration with project sponsor and stakeholders.
  • Communicate regularly with the project sponsor, stakeholders, and team regarding project status, dependencies, and risks.
  • Create reports and communicate the key elements of project status (schedule, costs, impediments to delivery, etc.).
  • Work with technology stakeholders (Product Management, Engineering, etc.) to translate business requirements into engineering tasks and to mitigate risk.
  • Continually monitor and manages changes to the scope, cost, and schedule of the project and escalate appropriately.
  • Organize and lead regular project status meetings.
  • Ad hoc tasks as requested by direct manager.

Required Skills & Competencies:
  • Four (4) or more years of relevant experience
  • Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Ability to follow a consistent methodology but know when, why, and how to deviate
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly changing work environment
  • Experience with common agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
  • A meaningful background in coordinating teams building responsive web applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum internet speed of 10 Download/5 Upload
  • A solid understanding of agile software principles
  • Experience managing mobile app development projects preferred
  • Collaborative and inclusive approach to work, and a willingness to engage both purposefully and openly with coworkers
  • PMP certification or familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) preferred
  • Ability to lead the translation of requirements from business needs into engineering tasks
  • Experience coordinating work in JIRA and GitHub Issues
  • Material experience with ClickUp, Visio, or other software project tools
  • Experience executing a software development lifecycle process for applications at varying stages of maturity (e.g. pre-release to long-term support)
  • A strategic, long-term view on project goals and prioritizing the team to deliver value
