Inside the Role


As a Technical Project Engineer within the TT/S ICT TN PMO, you will bring your enthusiasm and creativity into the coordination of Daimler Truck projects interfacing with design, testing, implementation, and regional project teams to execute on project deliverables, product development, and strategy.


As part of this role, you will be assigned a design team and will be responsible for the bridge between design and project, test, and implementation teams. This will include planning and maintaining projects while contributing to strategy in partnership with the regional EPM team. This requires the individual to be fully embedded into the design teams to support the development process to full extent.


You will be responsible for reporting in executive forums to provide an overview of the product development process. Additionally, you will help ensure software release management tickets and Jira issues stay updated throughout the entire development process. Lastly, you will support capacity planning and represent the team in C4P (Call for Planning), project kickoffs, and regular cross-functional meetings to share documentation and analysis of impact.

Position offers a starting salary range of $98,500-126,000 USD


Pay Offered Dependent On Knowledge, Skills, And Experience.

What You Drive At DTNA


  • Measure and monitor project progress to ensure software & hardware delivery is on time, within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
  • Support local Customer Domains or Cross Functions with budget, planning, and regional coordination
  • Manage risks while addressing and resolving issues that affect product scope, schedule and quality
  • Support by coordination for all aspects of software development. Ranging from sprint and software release cycles, truck builds (implementation), and software issues management
  • Support regional shop floor report outs to ensure overall transparency
  • Support tracking of all releases that have been and are to be implemented, and maintains, documents, and reports key release metrics
  • Support the technical interface between Product Validation and design engineering, including troubleshooting process development


Knowledge You Should Bring


  • Detailed knowledge of vehicle development processes
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Experience in all aspects of Technical Project Management. (Scope, Strategy, Troubleshoot, Plan)
  • Bachelor’s Degree Engineering, Business, or related field with 4-6 years of technical experience
  • Ability to carry products from start to finish through the product development process (Ideation/Strategy, Development, Implementation, Production)


Exceptional Candidates Might Have


  • Experience in stakeholder management Methodological competence in agile methods such as Design Thinking, Scrum, Lean Startup
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Product knowledge of Daimler Truck
  • Experience in coordination of Electrical Engineering Projects
