The Opportunity
Assist in coordinating & troubleshooting new and current plant products/processes and liaise with the Plant Management, R&D, Sales, and the Technical Services Director on a regular basis.

• Interpreting technical data.
• Working side by side with plant personnel, in participative manner, to identify issues and conduct in-process research.
• Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)
• Works to improve operational efficiency.
• Interaction with plant management and personnel in a hands-on manner to troubleshoot issues on current and future processes and products in the plant.
• Assisting in identification and implementation of process and system innovations as well as cost reduction projects.

The Skills You Will Bring To The Team

• B.S. degree in dairy/food science and have a minimum of 1 year hands-on experience in the dairy industry in a production, technical, or R&D environment.
• Ability to understand and speak in technical terms and be able to challenge current processes & theories while forming solutions in a practical and technical manner.
• Must be familiar with cheese and processing equipment.
• Willingness and ability to participate in and lead team problem solving activities.
