ABOUT THE SCHOOL/DEPARTMENT

The mission of Chatfield is to foster intellectual curiosity and encourage academic success in order to prepare all students to become viable and productive members of a global community. We provide students with a comprehensive curriculum consisting of a strong academic core and a variety of elective courses, complemented by co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Our students continually outperform the district and state when it comes to standardized test (SAT, ACT, PSAT). Chatfield is also known for having many opportunities for students to take college level classes through Concurrent Enrollment (most offerings in the district) and Advanced Placement classes. Our success does not end in the classroom, as our athletic teams routinely participate in state competition. Our band each year places in the top-10 at state, we have numerous kids who are all-state in choir, our POMS are nationally ranked and we send students to National competition in FBLA, DECA and Speech and Debate. All of our success occurs within a very supportive environment, where Charger Pride is felt school-wide.
