We are currently seeking an enthusiastic tax accountant with significant tax provision experience who will guide the in-sourcing of the tax provision, select and implement provision software, and build processes for a newly global publicly traded company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

To include, but not limited to the following:

  • Research, analyze and interpret US and international tax accounting guidance
  • Advise on the selection and implementation of tax provision software
  • Collaborate with a cross functional team (often Accounting, FP&A, and Treasury) to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the quarterly and year-end tax provisions
  • Provide technical tax accounting advice on various US and international tax accounting issues (e.g., intercompany transactions, business combinations, valuation allowances, debt instruments, etc.)
  • Assist with acquisitions including due diligence
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors on various tax accounting matters
  • Prepare or review tax calculations and models
  • Draft policies and ensure compliance with the Company's internal control framework including key Sarbanes-Oxley controls and periodically updating control narratives
  • Coordinate with outside advisors and internal stakeholders to comply with tax accounting and reporting requirements, manage documentation requirements and support examinations.
  • Coordinate, review and assist with preparation of the US and international tax provision

Qualifications:

  • CPA preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
  • Four or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Competencies and Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written when working with all levels of management and employees, clients, external vendors and other business associates.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under changing priorities and peak workloads
  • Understanding of US and international tax accounting concepts
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a trustworthy manner
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, vendors and clients
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate directions and information.

Benefits and Compensation:

The pay range is $99,000 - $149,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on individual and company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.
