Job Duties


  • In accordance with federal/state regulations and agency policies, determines continued eligibility for SNAP and TANF by utilizing all systems and tools that have been established by the agency, processing cases in accordance with guidelines for timeliness and accuracy, and processing alerts for county of residency and other counties. Maintains electronic case files (in agency designated system) accurately and timely for documentation and auditing purposes. Identifies and documents over payments and makes referrals to the Benefit Integrity Unit when necessary; prepares summaries and supporting documents for Fair Hearings and attends hearings as directed. Assists team members in accomplishing the goals set by the Director and Program Coordinator.
  • Screens TANF applications for appropriateness for referral to either the vendor or county caseloads based on defined measures and completes the screening timely and according to defined procedures. Processes sanctions and support service requests submitted by the vendor.
  • The TANF Team Leader (CERCU) serves as a Team Leader for the Central Employment Referral and Compliance Unit (CERCU).
  • Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.
Minimum and Additional Requirements


Agency Requirements


A High School Diploma and at least one (1) year of experience in Economic Services programs.


A Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for one year of relevant program experience.
