Job Description

Day to Day:

We are looking for a Tableau Analyst to join our data team and help us create insightful and interactive dashboards and reports. You will be responsible for connecting to various data sources, transforming and analyzing data, and designing and publishing dashboards that support business decisions. The day will be split with 50% of it being creating Tableau dashboards and the other 50% maintaining the dashboards.

To be successful as a Tableau Analyst, you should have strong data analysis and visualization skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. You should also be familiar with best practices and standards for data governance and quality.

Tableau Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Connect to and transform data from various sources, such as databases, files, web services, etc.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server
  • Collaborate with business users and other analysts to understand their requirements and provide solutions
  • Document and share your work and findings with relevant stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality, performance, and access
  • Apply visual best practices and principles to ensure clear and effective data presentation
  • Perform data analysis and exploration to identify trends, patterns, outliers, and insights

Tableau Analyst Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis and visualization using Tableau
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with Tableau Server or Tableau Online administration
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in SQL and other data manipulation languages
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Tableau Prep Builder or other data preparation tools
