Title: SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 base plus strong bonus plan, and excellent benefits package

Start Date: ASAP

Location: La Vergne, TN (Hybrid Role)

RESPONSIBILITIES: SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER

• Collaborate with architects to identify, build, and implement automation solutions that enhance efficiency and standards
• Establish clear objectives for all project areas and devise strategies to ensure timely execution and successful implementation
• Conduct analysis of established 'best practices for infrastructure maintenance and asset management, with a view to adapting and improving as necessary
• Provide mentorship and training to fellow engineers, and pursue continuous improvement of IT processes.
• Develop custom scripts to optimize system efficiency and reduce human involvement in manual tasks
• Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation detailing system configurations, installation, and administration procedures
• Leverage IaC tools (e.g. Terraform, Azure Resource Manager) to consistently provision resources
• Manage and maintain system monitoring tools (e.g. Solarwinds, Nagios/Icinga, Prometheus) to ensure optimal performance
• Utilize configuration automation tools (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, Chef, SaltStack) to drive greater efficiency and adherence to standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER

• Bachelor’s degree or related field or directly related year-for-year work experience
• 4+ Years of Systems Engineer or Programming Experience
• Exposure to Kubernetes or Azure with scripting experience with Bash, Python, or Powershell is preferred
