System Administrator Jobs

Our cell biology client is looking for an Azure System Administrator, that will support both on-premise and cloud-based systems and storage infrastructure. This is a contract opportunity and the ideal candidate will work a hybrid schedule with the majority onsite portion located in Branford, CT.

Responsibilities:

• Sustain Azure systems and storage components.
• Offer on-demand support to the IT support team when required.
• Implement system configurations in compliance with security and SOX standards.
• Exercise control over Office 365 and SharePoint platforms.
• Uphold system reliability and optimize performance.
• Oversee on-premise systems and storage, including Netapps, Nutanix, and Windows environments.
• Manage backup systems to ensure data integrity.
• Create and manage Azure virtual machines and storage resources.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Data Center design, construction, and best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5+years of system administration experience.
• Extreme comfort troubleshooting, supporting and working on controls within Microsoft SharePoint .
• Demonstrated capabilities in project management, time management, and organizational skills.
• Extensive understanding of Active Directory, Exchange Online, and Office Suite applications.
• Strong experience and mastery of Microsoft Azure functionalities.
• Expertise in creating PowerShell scripts.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication proficiencies.

Nice to have

• Supplementary certifications in related domains are advantageous.
• Previous exposure to firewalls and switches is considered a plus.
