We are searching for a System Administrator to join our team in support of our Crane, Indiana customer. The Systems Administrator administers and supports daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers. Duties typically involve the installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation. This administrator will maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services. This Administrator trains staff on software applicable to their position, assists customers with information technology, monitors system configuration (hardware and software), and provides instruction on computers and applications.


Duties Will Include


Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions. Support of implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Management of IT system infrastructure. Support IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server devices, mobile devices, etc. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problem. Support the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Support the dispatch system and hardware problems through resolution. Configure and manage Windows operating systems. Install/load operating system and application software. Isolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof. Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems.


Education required: Typical candidate will possess a Bachelor’s level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems.


Experience required: Candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in systems administration.


Clearance required: Qualified candidates must possess a current Secret clearance.


IAT Level required: Candidates must also meet DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 (Security+ CE or equivalent) upon start.
